Am I the only one getting tired of these two’s antics? I mean, I get where both sides are coming from and can accept it… but it’s still frustrating to watch.
Well, I get where you coming from, the enjoyment of misunderstanding genre tend to depend on how much the reader can take the scope of it, so probably there are some others who thinks the same with you.
But I assure you that it’s always stay in the light side, it won’t go to the annoying dramatic side like shoujo manga’s misunderstanding. (Which usually hurting everybody and full of needless suffering)
I think he means that it’s frustrating that neither of them can properly convey their feelings due to their own personalities and embarrassment. Although Andou seems to be more frank in that regard, he also has the lack of confidence that all loners typically share, so he thinks that there’s no way that a (disappointing) beauty like Asakura would ever be interested in him. And Asakura can’t say it herself because of the same reason she can’t openly talk about light novels; her pride and embarrassment. *shrugs* It’s frustrating to me too, but it’s cute and fluffy, so it’s mostly ok.

I’m still enjoying it despite the frustration.
Their happy life together beginning got derailed by Asakura premature spilled out confession.
Followed by the multiple vehement denials.
Andou was shot down in flames before he even realized his feeling. So any ideas of a relationship is a no go zone.
No way is Asakura going to repeat the confession that caused her such embarrassment.
So she keeps sending signals that Andou densely misses or berates himself for imagining.
